Eileen Forrest’s commitment to supporting teachers is driven by her passion for education, and influenced by her own experience as a teacher. She is a student-centered educator, dedicated to facilitating growth with data driven instruction. Eileen has worked as a reading specialist for students in K-5 and a classroom teacher in grades K,1, and 2. She has extensive knowledge and experience in best practice literacy instruction in the elementary setting.
Eileen holds her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois. She studied at Concordia Chicago University where she completed a Master of Arts in Reading and completed her requirements to become a reading specialist. In addition, Eileen has endorsements in both English as a Second Language (ESL) and Gifted Education. She has been a board member of The Suburban Council of the International Literacy Association – (SCIRA) for the last three years.
